  • Yes! Actually, most of the interactions will be virtual but will not impact the effectiveness of the program.

Are you a Registered Dietician or Nutritionist?

  • No. A "Registered Dietician or "Nutritionist" is someone who requires a specific type of licensure in the state of New Jersey which allows them to make medical recommendations. I am considered a "Nutrition Coach" through Precision Nutrition and can help provide nutritional guidance but can not make medical recommendations or advice.

Are you a Certified Personal Trainer?

  • Yes. I am a Certified Personal Trainer through ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association).

Are you a Licensed Therapist?

  • No. I have worked as a counselor in the mental health field, but I am not a licensed therapist/clinician. Therefore, I can not provide therapy. I can only provide general advice.

Are you a Neurologist?

  • No. I am not licensed to practice neurology. I am a "Brain Health Trainer" whose goal is to help improve overall brain health through exercise and improved habits.

What is a Brain Health Trainer?

  • I am a certified Brain Health Trainer through the Functional Aging Institute. A Brain Health Trainer can help develop an exercise plan which aims to specifically improve brain health for those worried about declining cognition.

How intense is the fitness portion of the program?

  • The fitness routines are bodyweight / home workout based (calisthenics) utilizing my own materials as well as materials borrowed from other companies. Free weights and machines are not my area of focus. However, if you prefer free weights and/or machines, you are encouraged to incorporate those into your fitness routines at your own discretion.

Do I need any special equipment?

  • Nutrition: You will only need the basic kitchen appliances. Nothing fancy is required.

  • Fitness: Since the routines will be bodyweight exercises, no fancy equipment is required. However, having some basic "home gym" equipment (such as a pull up bar and resistance bands) will be helpful but not essential.

Are your services covered by insurance?

  • No. I do not accept insurance.

Would you be willing to collaborate with my other healthcare professionals if this is something they are willing to do?

  • Yes! Absolutely! My role would be to help support their recommendations. I can not provide medical advice.

Do you address specific medical conditions?

  • I can not provide medical advice or treat any medical conditions. However, it is helpful for me to be aware of any medical conditions for fitness and nutritional purposes. For example, if you are allergic to certain foods, we will be sure to avoid those foods....or if you have a bad back, we can modify workouts to avoid excessive strain in that area.

Do you use any other body fat measuring techniques?

  • There are various different methods for measuring body fat percentage. I do not measure fat percentage. I use a tape measure to obtain body measurements.

Do you teach fasting protocols?

  • I do not specifically promote fasting/intermittent fasting. However, I am quite familiar with the concept and am willing to discuss this option.

Do you promote specific supplements?

  • No. However, I am not against supplementation if you yourself choose to take it or it is recommended by your healthcare professional.

Do you work with woman who are pregnant?

  • As a precautionary measure, I have chosen to decline working with pregnant women.

Do you incorporate genetic testing?

  • No. However, I realize that genetic testing companies (such as 23andMe) can be a valuable tool in providing certain health information.

Do you analyze blood work?

  • No. However, I do encourage working with your doctor to obtain blood work as this can be helpful in maintaining your health.

Do you address issues such as eating disorders or body dysmorphia?

  • No. If you exhibit signs of disordered eating or unhealthy fitness goals, we will have a discussion about it and you will be encouraged to seek out a specialist.

Am I able to obtain a refund?

  • No. All sales are final.

How do I pay for services?

  • Payments can be made through Zelle.
